Art Classes have long been a popular feature of this Society. Informal and with a programme of weekly topics, they are designed to cater for both the novice and the more experienced artist. Guidance is given in the use of materials, drawing and water colour techniques and the use of pastels.
Classes take place each Wednesday at Snape Village Hall during autumn and winter terms. In the summer months, the class meets in a wide variety of private gardens and local places of interest. This enables members both to develop their skills in architectural drawing and landscape painting and enjoy the benefits of living in this part of Suffolk. For those interested in using water based oil paints, additional whole day workshops are sometimes offered. The class tutor is local artist Vaughan Windle, an experienced teacher and exhibitor.
